Overview
Business Technology provides the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare students to further their education at a 2- or 4-year college majoring in business or enter the workforce in an office or retail business.
Skills include those relating to computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database), desktop publishing, office procedures and technology, marketing, accounting concepts and procedures, management, and entrepreneurship.
Students will prepare a portfolio and a business plan, may work in the school store and/or design and print a variety of publications for Tantasqua.
Students have the opportunity to:
* Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is globally recognized as the premier credential for individuals seeking to validate their knowledge, skills and abilities relating to Microsoft Office applications.

- Use applied methods and state-of-the-art technology and work in an office or retail atmosphere
- Become Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certified*
- Be selected to compete in SkillsUSA
- Experience internships and/or co-ops
- Earn college credit while in high school through articulation agreements with colleges
- Be certified in OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) General Industry
