Culinary Arts is a three year program designed to provide students with the skills and experiences necessary for successful employment or continued education in any aspect of the culinary field. Students learn “back of the house” operations including food preparation, menu planning and cost control. The student-operated Cornerstone Café provides experience in “front of the house operations” including table service, cashier, and dining room management. The Café is open to faculty and the general public and offers a varied menu from soup and sandwiches to full entrées and specialty desserts. The Café has been a popular gathering place for teachers and members of the community. The experiences of this program are invaluable in the field of culinary arts. These are the students of today and the chefs of tomorrow.
